A drunk woman was arrested Monday after deputies allegedly found an alcohol bottle on the driver’s seat of her car while her children were passengers.
Around 9 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to the 23500 block of Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia for a driving under the influence call, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“It was reported the driver of a silver Nissan was drunk while driving a vehicle with juvenile passengers,” Arriaga said. “Deputies arrived and observed the vehicle with significant damage and an alcohol bottle on the driver’s seat.”
Deputies contacted the driver and conducted field sobriety tests which determined her to be under the influence of alcohol, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Brittany Player, 36, from Canyon Country, was arrested for felony child endangerment, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with an invalid driver’s license, Arriaga added.
“The children’s father took custody of the children,” Arriaga said.
Player was transported to the SCV Sheriff’s Station and remains in custody as of Tuesday evening.
