DUI Suspect Arrested After Crashing Car Into Home In Canyon Country

A DUI suspect was arrested early Saturday morning after they allegedly crashed into a home in Canyon Country.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a structure on the 16000 block of Nearview Drive in Canyon Country, according to officials.

“A vehicle did hit a two-story house,” said Bernard Peters, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the vehicle was arrested and booked on DUI charges, said Sgt. Elizondo with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Units requested building and safety for some structural damage,” Peters added.

No major injuries were reported as a result of the crash, according to officials.

  2. Hello Picasso/JoJo – glad to see you’re doing well despite the whole Covid mess. I may not agree with you but there’s no ill will.

  3. Hi Jesus C., welcome back, hope you’re doing well also! Censorship of one’s freedom of Speech is not wholesome! It forces people to flee, hide, wear disguises, change names. We all have thoughts that one can learn or disagree on in emotionally stable & peaceful ways, that’s what freedom of speech is all about! Hope your keyboard doesn’t have the Wuhan, China virus—✌️?

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
