A Lancaster man was arrested and charged with felony DUI Thursday after allegedly injuring six people in a 14 Freeway crash, officials said.
Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of a five-car traffic collision with possible persons trapped on the northbound 14 Freeway near Soledad Canyon Road, said Officer Josh Greengard, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office.
“(The suspect) was driving a black F-150,” Greengard said.
The suspect collided with four other vehicles, causing his truck to flip over, according to officials.

“There were no persons trapped,” said Ed Pickett, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, at the time of the crash.
A total of six ambulances were requested and six patients were transported, Pickett said.
Through an investigation by CHP officers, it was determined that the suspect was allegedly driving under the influence, according to officials.
Gilbert Rosario, 52, of Lancaster, was arrested and booked on felony DUI charges, according to officials.
“Due to the injuries he caused to his passengers in the crash, and him being under the influence during the crash, he was arrested for felony DUI,” Greengard said.
At the time of the crash, witnesses reported on social media that the suspect was reportedly driving at high speeds on the shoulder prior to the collision.
However, CHP officials could not confirm or deny any information regarding the cause of the crash or the suspect’s level of intoxication due to the case being an active investigation.
Rosario was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $20,000, according to arrest records.
