Elderly Abuse Suspect Arrested For Threatening To Kill His Mother In Canyon Country

An elderly abuse suspect is facing multiple charges after he allegedly pushed his mother and threatened to kill her, officials said.

UPDATE Sept. 16 2021, all charges have been dropped, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Court.

On Wednesday, deputies responded to the 27000 block of Adonis Lane in Canyon Country for a battery and criminal threats call, said Lt. Eric Lasko with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

When deputies arrived on scene, they learned that the suspect reportedly got into an altercation with his 67-year-old mother, during which he allegedly pushed her and threatened to kill her, Lasko said.

By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had reportedly fled the location.

On Thursday around 1:15 p.m., deputies re-responded to the residence after the suspect reportedly returned to the location, Lasko said.

The woman’s son  was arrested on felony charges of terrorizing/causing fear and misdemeanor charges of battery and elder abuse, according to Sheriff’s officials. However, all charges have been dropped.

“He was being charged with elder abuse because his mother was older than 65,” Lasko said.

The man was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station with bail set at $100,000, according to arrest records.

  1. Ok, mom, I done had it. You aren’t going to get my money anymore. Now you are going to get it. The welfare office is going to hear about how you abused me. I will be living at the bridge to the wealth community complex.

    • Wtf I really don’t think your mom cares where you’re gonna be staying since you just threatened to kill her. & you’re a 30 year old man so if your mom was abusing you like you claim than why didn’t you leave? I also don’t know how far telling welfare that your mom abused you is gonna get you since they only handle government assistance

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
