Encino Woman Arrested After Brandishing Gun In Valencia Road Rage Incident

An Encino woman was arrested after she allegedly brandished a gun at a person during a Valencia road rage incident last week.

Around 12 p.m. Wednesday, deputies received reports of a road rage incident near Valencia Boulevard and Auto Center Drive, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“It was reported the victim was threatened by a white male adult and white female adult armed with a firearm, last seen driving southbound on Valencia Boulevard in a white Mercedes Benz C-300,” Arriaga said.

Deputies searched the area and located a vehicle matching the suspect description on the 25800 block of McBean Parkway near Granary Square.

The two suspects were detained, according to Arriaga.

“During investigation, deputies learned during a verbal confrontation between the victim and male driver of the opposing vehicle, the female passenger brandished a firearm,” Arriaga said.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies located a pistol and ammunition.

Katrina Stibolt, 30, from Encino, was arrested for brandishing a firearm toward a vehicle occupant, Arriaga added.

Stibolt was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and later released on bond.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
