On Tuesday during a crime suppression operation led by the Special Assignment Team deputies noticed a vehicle driving erratically with expired tags on Apple Street and Lyons Avenue in Newhall which prompted deputies to conduct a traffic stop, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station

“Upon speaking with the male driver,… they learned he was on active parole, Arriaga said. “During a search of the female passenger’s… purse, deputies located a loaded firearm along with property belonging to the male.”

  1. Glad Martinez & Montoya were arrested before they could hurt someone!
