Felony Assault Suspect In Custody After Kicking Open Door, Assaulting Boyfriend

A felony assault suspect was arrested Thursday after she allegedly kicked a door open and assaulted her boyfriend after a verbal argument in Newhall, officials said.

On Thursday around 4 p.m., deputies responded to a call for service regarding a domestic violence incident that had taken place on the 24800 block of Walnut Street in Newhall, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Upon arrival, deputies learned the victim was physically assaulted by his girlfriend, … during a verbal argument at their residence,” Arriaga said.

During the argument, the victim attempted to separate himself from the suspect by locking himself in the bedroom, according to officials.

“The suspect then kicked the door open and began physically assaulting the victim,” Arriaga said.

The victim suffered a minor injury and was treated on scene by medical personnel.

The suspect Thyais Lee, 43, of Newhall, was arrested for felony spousal assault, Arriaga added.

Lee was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail with bail set at $50,000, according to arrest records.

  1. Bad-ass woman or panty-waste guy?? Which is it?

  2. Now wouldn’t this have been better to have a social worker show up (gender and race appropriate, of course) and try to convince this nice lady to seek anger management classes?

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
