Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were involved in a fight after chasing a suspect on foot in Canyon Country, officials said.
At around 2:50 p.m. Saturday, deputies initiated a foot pursuit of a suspect near Golden Triangle Road and Isabella Parkway in Canyon Country.
Initial reports indicate that the suspect was allegedly in possession of narcotics, and later attempted to fight pursuing deputies, according to officials on scene.
The suspect was subdued and taken into custody by deputies shortly before 3 p.m., according to officials.
Units with the Los Angeles County Fire Department treated injuries on scene, but no one was taken to the hospital as a result of the altercation, according to a KHTS reporter on scene.
Both directions of Isabella Parkway were temporarily shut down as officials worked to clear the scene.
No significant injuries were reported.
