Four Arrested After Discovery Of Hundreds Of Stolen IDs In Stevenson Ranch

Four people, two women and two men, have been arrested after an investigation led deputies to an apartment in Stevenson Ranch with hundreds of personal stolen documents which was all sparked off by a stolen vehicle containment last week.

The investigation started Tuesday, Sept. 27, when deputies identified a stolen vehicle occupied by three people, and detained a woman and a man in Newhall, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The first woman, 27-year-old Esmeralda Orozco, was arrested for grand theft auto after she attempted to hide from deputies in the back seat of the stolen vehicle. 32-year-old Randal Smith was arrested for identity theft, grand theft auto and possession of burglary tools after deputies found stolen credit cards and tools used for mail theft.

“The second woman fled the location on foot and had remained outstanding at the time of the investigation,” said Arriaga.

Deputies set up a containment on Lyons Avenue and Arcadia Street for approximately one hour searching for the suspect.

The woman who fled was found to be on active parole and later located at an apartment on Constitution Avenue in Stevenson Ranch by deputies with the Crime Impact Team, according to Arriaga.

“During a parole compliance search, hundreds of personal documents, checks, ID cards and more were located, as well as a loaded firearm, narcotics, drug paraphernalia among other items of contraband,” said Arriaga.

The second woman, 37-year-old Shirley Huizar from Chino, has a history of mail theft and was arrested for possession of a firearm with narcotics, identity theft and more.

“Huizar was also wanted by multiple agencies for different crimes,” Arriaga said.

The fourth and final person arrested was 33-year-old Fiedel Viera who was in the Stevenson Ranch apartment, a convicted felon, and a fugitive from a LAPD incident, Arriaga said.

All four suspects remain in custody as of Wednesday.

  1. Fantastic get of serious repeat offenders. I only hope sanity prevails and they can be kept off the streets. Sadly Gascon will see they are back running their ‘business’ as soon as possible.

  2. Glad Orozoco, Hurzair & Viera, all career criminals were caught! Wonder how much fraud & theft they’ve already committed?!

  3. Oh no, more white privilege! They are everywhere!
