Gunshot Victim Arrives At Henry Mayo, Investigation Underway

A gunshot wound victim arrived at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Sunday afternoon, authorities were then alerted to investigate.

Just about 1 p.m. Sunday, an individual with a gunshot wound arrived at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, according to Lieutenant James Royal with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The person suffering the gunshot wound arrived at Henry Mayo,” Royal said. “The hospital then contacted us. The wound is to their arm…”

There were no reported calls or alerts of a shooting or shots fired as of Sunday afternoon, according to Lt. Royal.

“We don’t have a call related to a shooting,” Royal added. “The shot is still under investigation as of 1:30 p.m.”
