Hikers On Alert After Indecent Exposure Reported In Towsley Canyon

An indecent exposure incident was reported Thursday after a man was allegedly standing over a woman and masturbating in Towsley Canyon, officials said.

The woman was reportedly doing yoga in a grass area by The Old Road at Towsley Canyon around 4 p.m. Thursday, when she realized that a man was close to her, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect was reportedly standing over her and started masturbating,” Miller said. “The victim screamed, and the suspect fled.”

The suspect was still outstanding as of Monday morning, and detectives are still investigating the incident, according to Miller.

“Patrol checks in the area have been increased,” Miller said. “This is an active investigation.”

The suspect is described as an adult male, between the ages of 25-30, with a thin build and dark hair. At the time of the incident, he was reported as wearing dark-colored sweats, according to Miller.

The alleged perpetrator drove off in a dark purple Lincoln MKZ, according to Sheriff’s officials.

If hikers in the area have witnessed any suspicious activity, they are encouraged to contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121.

If residents prefer to provide information anonymously, they can call “Crime Stoppers” by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), use their smartphone by downloading the “P3 Tips” Mobile APP on Google play or the Apple App Store, or by using the website here.

  1. This is a joke the sex offender can live by a school now, but you are offended by a wealthy fellow high on drugs going to the bathroom in public. “I just had to go and thought she wouldn’t see me with her eyes closed doing her yoga reverie, mmmm.”
