Two armed robbery suspects were arrested in Canyon Country Tuesday, and were later determined to be juveniles from the San Fernando Valley.

On Tuesday, at around 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to the Stater Brothers on the 16900 block of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country for a robbery call, according to officials.
“Two juveniles from the San Fernando Valley area allegedly took a glass bottle of alcohol without paying for it,” said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

When the two juveniles were confronted by the employee, a male adult, the suspects allegedly attempted to hit the victim with the bottle and one pointed a handgun at him, according to Miller.
After the altercation, the two suspects took off on foot.
“Deputies caught up with them near Via Princessa (and) Weyerhaeuser Way,” Miller said.
Both were detained on robbery and assault with a deadly weapon charges, according to Miller.
Due to the suspects being juveniles, their identities have not been released, according to officials.
