A Newhall man was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon Tuesday after allegedly chasing a relative out of the house with a knife, officials said.
Around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a fire station on the 24800 block of Railroad Avenue regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The call stated that the victim went to the fire station because a relative chased him out of the house with a knife,” Miller said.
Deputies located the suspect a short time later and took him into custody, according to officials.
Angel Mendozaleon, 22, of Newhall, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, Miller said.
Mendozaleon was transported to and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, with bail set at $30,000, according to arrest records.

Tiburcio, you are quite the a**hole, why mention DACA? Racist much?
Turbicio had a accurate educated guess, that area is one of the worst in SCV! Overwhelming amount of legal & illegal immigrants! Not racism to speak the truth!
