A wanted man was arrested Thursday on multiple felonies including altering currency.
On Thursday, deputies with the Crime Impact Team arrested a wanted felon with multiple outstanding warrants during a proactive surveillance operation in Lancaster, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“During a search of his residence, deputies discovered the suspect had tools and contraband for use of washing currency and reprinting them at higher amounts,” Arriaga said.
The suspect was also found in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine, according to officials.
The suspect was arrested for possession of altered currency, possession of a controlled substance for sales, all felonies, among other charges, along with his warrants, Arriaga added.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail where he was booked.
