Newhall Man Charged With Multiple Felonies After Verbal Argument Turns Physical

A Newhall man is facing two felonies after he allegedly choked a female following a verbal argument, officials said.

On Wednesday around 2:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 24100 block of Arch Street in Newhall regarding a family disturbance call, where it was reported that a male adult allegedly tried to choke a female, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Responding deputies upon arrival were told that there was a verbal argument that occurred between the suspect and the victim over the use of a family car,” Miller said.

The suspect allegedly became enraged, grabbed the victim around the throat and squeezed while verbally threatening her, according to Miller.

The victim declined medical treatment, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Guadalupe Albarran, 26, of Newhall, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, his hands, and criminal threats, both felonies, Miller said.

Albarran was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail with bail set at $80,000, according to arrest records.

  1. Yep, GUADALUPE, from the wonderful Arch St., Non-stop crime & violence!! It will be out of jail by morning to continue it’s career of crime!! Thanks, Garrshity & Newsom—-

  2. No point in dumping money into Newhall & Canyon Country when you have scum like this ALWAYS committing crimes . Its time to take out the trash but Liberals & Newsom have a soft spot for dregs of society. Give people free shit and make excuses for their actions and you’ll get their votes. No longer is it you commit a crime you do the time. Its just excuses, excuses and excuses to why people shouldn’t be punished anymore

  3. Tyler: Unfortunately, TRUTH well spoken!! Very frustrating, dealing with Liberals/Democrats/Anarchist/Socialists/Communist bring down society!! Are our precious children having fun/learning in the free, taxpayer paid public schools?!?! Thanks to demonic Liberals that created (Gascon) and voted for Prop. 47 & 57 and AB 109(Democrats), these creatures will be back terrorizing the neighborhoods by morning!!

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
