Newhall Woman Arrested After Assaulting Man With Glass Pitcher

A Newhall woman was arrested on felony assault after she allegedly hit a man in the head with a glass pitcher Saturday.

Around 2 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 26800 block of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus after receiving initial reports of a woman adult throwing a chair at a man, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Upon arrival, deputies learned the victim was approached by the suspect while he was standing in front of the business,” Arriaga said.

For unknown reasons, the suspect allegedly struck the man with a glass pitcher on his head, Arriaga said.

The victim sustained minor injury and was evaluated by medical personnel.

Carolina Franco, 41, from Newhall, was arrested on scene for felony assault with a deadly weapon, Arriaga added.

Franco was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail with bail set at $50,000, according to arrest records.

  1. From the address it sounds like this was out front of The Shot Exchange at Seco and Bouquet. Glass is extremely hard- she could have killed him pretty easily with this. Someone needs to really explain to her just how dangerous this was.

  2. The Shot Exchange… more like Meth Heads who like to Drink Depot. Real Classy joint.

  3. Woman adult? Geez, where is the proofreading and or editing? I believe you meant to write adult woman…

  4. Our town isn’t to your liking, nor are our leaders, our people, and now our news site. Why do you live here??? Move back to LA and be with your own kind and read the LA Times. Sounds like you’d be much happier there.

  5. Alice, I completely agree with your statement about the incorrect grammar. I don’t understand why people get so defensive when people make comments about poor grammar. Another thing that bugs me is when people say “I could care less.” That means that you can care less. The correct way to say it is “I couldn’t care less.” That was a pet peeve of my sister and after she died it became a pet peeve for me. I also can’t stand it when people spell a lot, alot.

  6. Uptight, rigid, frigid, anal Liberal people suffer from hypertension, heart attacks , strokes, etc.! As long as the message gets across, why get hysterical?! An empty pitcher or a skate board can split a skull open! One is supposed to drink a pitcher of beer/wine/whiskey to feel good & peaceful! Franco from lovely Newhall(?Race/Arch/Pine St. area?)should see the magic Chiropractor!
