No-Bail Suspect In Custody After Fleeing From Deputies In Canyon Country

A no-bail suspect was taken into custody early Wednesday evening after reportedly fleeing from deputies in Canyon Country.

At around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, residents reported seeing an increased presence of deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station near Soledad Canyon Road and Whites Canyon Road in Canyon Country.

“It was a no-bail suspect that ran,” said Sgt. Martinez with the station. “He’s in custody now.”

One unit with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Aero Bureau was dispatched to the area, calling out the suspect from the air.

The suspect was eventually apprehended and taken into custody near the Via Princessa Metrolink Station.

The alleged crime that the suspect was originally wanted for was not made available as of Wednesday evening.

  1. How does a”no bail” suspect get out of jail?

    • Very simply, there are many reasons:
It could had been a violation of conditions of parole or probation.
It could had been the suspect was identified during the course of an investigation.
      The list goes on.

  2. Warren: Yes, the Liberal nowadays! Thanks to Gascon and it’s ilk, it authored Prop. 47, 57 and AB 109 which reduces felonies to misdemeanors! & lets criminals out of jail early!! Watch out for your lovely family! In the good ole days, no meant NO—now one is shamed for being un-caring, racist, discriminatory, hurtful, etc. Stop in mamby pamby criminal & abberent criminal coddling!!
