Just before 6 p.m. Monday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were called to the Diamond Park apartment complex off of Solamint Road in Canyon Country after a reported Canyon Country stabbing.

“There was an assault with a deadly weapon incident on the 27900 block of Solamint Road,” said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the station. “Weapon was a knife.”

The suspect, described as a female in her 20’s, is reportedly the ex-wife of the victim, described as a male in his 20’s, according to station officials.

Responding deputies detained the female suspect at gunpoint, and later arrested and transported her to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail for booking, according to Miller.

First responders with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were called to the scene to treat the male victim, according to Supervisor Flores with the department.

“We got the call from Sheriff’s,” Flores added.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition, according to officials on scene.

The circumstances leading up to the reported stabbing were still under investigation as of Monday evening.

  1. As usual, Michael Brown short on facts! Female in her 20s, but, what did she look like?! Proper facts help us be safer, if you told the truths/facts we would be alerted for gangs, people we may have seen hanging around, etc. Maybe we have seen her causing other un-solved crimes around that area! Please provide more facts/truths!

    • Jojo – we are not the police to solve crimes. Also, the suspect was detained, why would they need to report more details about her appearance?

      • Jaja: We caring citizens don’t solve crimes, we help by being aware and reporting possible problems! To tell the truth/facts of who is causing the crime!

  2. Since she was arrested, would it be asking too much to give us her name?
