One patient was transported to the hospital and one suspect was detained after a reported samurai sword stabbing in Newhall, officials said.
First responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to Alder Drive in Newhall after a reported stabbing at 4:50 p.m.
“We responded to a stabbing,” said Supervisor Pickett with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
One suspect was detained in connection with the incident, according to officials.
A samurai sword was retrieved as evidence by deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, according to officials on scene.
Additionally, one person was transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital, according to officials on scene.
