A man was arrested and released after a search discovered over 500 marijuana plants at his Agua Dulce residence earlier this week.

During a search at an  Agua Dulce residence on the 32500 block of Willow Lane, deputies uncovered hundreds of marijuana plants, approximately 25 lbs of harvested marijuana and a loaded, unregistered firearm, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Detectives with the North County Narcotics Team learned of a possible illegal marijuana grow at a residence in Agua Dulce,” Arriaga said. 

SCV Sheriff’s Juvenile Intervention Team (JTeam) assisted in the search warrant.

A photo posted by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Facebook account shows hundreds of marijuana plants and a firearm with four bullets. 

The suspect was arrested and booked for cultivating marijuana, and was released on citation to appear in court at a later date.
