Santa Clarita Grand Theft Suspect Arrested After Stealing From Neighbor

A Santa Clarita grand theft suspect was arrested Friday after he allegedly stole property from his neighbor’s car.

On Friday, deputies responded to the 24100 block of Del Monte Drive in Valencia regarding a theft call for service, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Upon arrival, deputies learned while the victim was making multiple trips unloading items from her car into her apartment, she observed her neighbor standing alongside the open passenger door of her vehicle upon returning to the car,” Arriaga said.

The victim confronted the suspect and he proceeded to walk away, according to Sheriff’s officials.

“The victim took inventory of her vehicle and realized several items were missing,” Arriaga said.

Deputies learned the suspect’s location and detained him at his residence on the 24100 block of Del Monte Drive in Valencia, according to Arriaga.

Thomas George, 62, from Valencia,  was arrested for felony grand theft, Arriaga added.

George was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail with bail set at $20,000, according to arrest records.

  1. Meanwhile a gang member from Bakersfield is caught with an illegal handgun and stolen property and is released with no bail. Our justice system contains little or no actual justice these days.

  2. well you can thank the morons who voted for this kind of system..

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
