A vast majority of the most recent Santa Clarita weekend arrests were on drug and alcohol-related charges.
Of the 15 arrests made from Friday through Sunday in the Santa Clarita Valley, 11 were on drug and alcohol-related charges.
Seven of the drug and alcohol-related arrests were for driving under the influence (DUI), according to booking logs.
Three of the arrests were for possession of drugs or drug paraphernalia, and another was for drunkenness, according to officials.

Only two of the weekend arrests were for felony offenses, according to arrest logs.
One of the felony arrests was made for vandalism with loss equivalent to or greater than $400, while the other was made for taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, officials said.
Of all the weekend arrests, 11 were of people living outside of Santa Clarita, representatives with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said.
This weekend marks another decrease in weekend arrests, which have been going down in number since the beginning of July.
The month began with the Fourth of July weekend, which saw 22 arrests according to booking logs.
The next weekend, that number had decreased to 18, representatives said.
The third weekend of July had 16 arrests, and 15 arrests were made this weekend, according to officials.
