Shell Casings Recovered After Reported Stevenson Ranch Shooting

Detectives are investigating a Stevenson Ranch shooting reported Tuesday evening, and have collected shell casings as evidence, officials said.

Around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday deputies received reports of shots fired near Poe Parkway and Mallory Drive in Stevenson Ranch, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Reports were that a newer model white BMW sedan with black rims and tinted windows pulled up and brandished a weapon before firing shots, according to Sheriff’s officials.

The vehicle was last seen heading southbound on Poe Parkway and out of view.

Three occupants approximately in their 20s were seen in the vehicle.

“Shell casings were found and collected as evidence,” Miller said.

Detectives are investigating the shots fired as a negligent discharge of a firearm, Miller said.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the shooting, Miller said.

  1. What color was the person who did it? We want to cement our stereotypes. Thanks in advance.

  2. Stereotypes occur because of a very frequent behavior! How do you think PitBulls get that stereotype!?! One must tell the truth/facts to be aware and safe!

  3. I think that we should all be grateful no one was injured. Also, JoJo, I love pitbulls and have never met one I didn’t love and there have been many. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.

    • Marie: True, many Pit Bulls are sweet/wonderful animals, if trained properly, but they do have an inherent aggressive traits—The excusing sayings “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” is a way to cover-up bad behavior! All should be given a loving chance, until the inherent behavior surfaces! Humans are very similar!

  4. Pitbulls commenting on their own stereotypes. Lol. This stuff writes itself.

  5. The windows were tinted so how do they know they were in their 20’s? (Scratching my head)
Also shots fired what were they shooting towards? If casings were found and noticed a white BMW..
    where are the receipts??

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
