At least three people were detained at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon at a Shell gas station after deputies found a suspected stolen vehicle in Newhall.
At around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station located a vehicle suspected of being stolen near the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Newhall Avenue.
“Three are in custody in connection to a possible stolen vehicle,” said Deputy Chris Craft with the station.
The three individuals that were detained were taken into custody at gunpoint by responding deputies without incident.
Details regarding the suspects themselves, as well as the exact charges that they may be booked on, were not immediately available as of Wednesday afternoon, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Traffic was temporarily blocked on westbound Lyons Avenue for the duration of the incident.

Once Gascon is DA, this will not happen anymore as all they have to say is they needed the vehicle and it is no longer a crime. We already see Newhall residents expecting the win and following this behavior.
Thanks Liberals, Newsom, Garrshity, Gascon, etc. for Prop. 47 and 57 & AB(Liberals) 109 that reduce felonies to misdemeanors and let criminals out of jail early! Watch your children!
