Deputies arrested a man Saturday in Canyon Country while patrolling the area where a loaded stolen firearm was recovered in his possession.
On Saturday, deputies patrolling the 27200 block of Camp Plenty Road in Canyon Country noticed a parked vehicle near closed businesses, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Deputies contacted the male occupant of the vehicle and learned he had been smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol while seated in the vehicle,” Arriaga said.
This prompted deputies to search the vehicle where they retrieved a loaded revolver and ammunition which was later identified as stolen, Arriaga added.
Santiago Sanchez Rodriguez, 23 from Canyon Country, was arrested for multiple firearm-related charges which included carrying a loaded firearm not being the owner, carrying a stolen loaded firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle in a public place, Arriaga said.
Rodriguez was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and subsequently released on citation to appear in court at a later date, said Arriaga.

You will wake Alice.
Want to shut her up again?
Mention Taxes.
Whatever you do don’t ask Alice when she’s 10 feet tall!
She ALWAYS THINKS she is 10 feet tall, even when leaving a 7-11 store and the suspect height sticker on the door says otherwise. She has a cognitive deficiency and disconnection between everyone else’s reality and her hallucinatory perceptions.
Your “99 percent virus “ killed a million people in the U.S.
You have been personally lucky so far, Alex, you haven’t died from Covid.
