One suspect was detained by law enforcement Monday after an attempted Stevenson Ranch Bank robbery, officials said.
Around 11:45 a.m. Monday, California Highway Patrol officers were waved down by a potential witness to the attempted bank robbery at a Wells Fargo bank on the 25600 block of The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch, according to CHP Newhall Officer Mendoza.
“Someone flagged us down saying there was a possible robbery,” said Mendoza.
The suspect had a duffle bag and threatened force, reportedly having said “we can do this the easy way, or the hard way,” according to a witness of the incident.
The suspect then left the location without receiving any money or following through on the threat of force, according to CHP officials.
The suspect was soon detained at a nearby Marshalls, according to Mendoza.
