Suspect In Custody After Deputy-Involved Fight In Stevenson Ranch

A suspect was taken into custody Tuesday morning after an alleged deputy-involved fight in Stevenson Ranch, officials said.

Around 11:05 a.m. Tuesday a deputy advised dispatchers that he had gotten into a fight with a suspect near Pico Canyon Road and The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch, said Sgt. Elizondo with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect was taken into custody,” Elizondo said.

As of 11:50 a.m. it is unknown what led to the fight or what prompted the deputy to make contact with the suspect, according to officials.

  1. I remember a time when we may have had a crime once in a blue moon in this town. Now it seems like it’s daily. It’s very sad what this town has come too. Perhaps tougher politicians are needed. This is also why I’m against Amazon coming to the SCV. More people, more traffic, more crime, more disease.

    • There was the same amount of crime per capita, actually MORE “back in the day”. We live in literally the SAFEST time ever of man.

    • Lily: Ya, those were the good ole days! Low crime! Those days unfortunately are gone thanks to the Liberals who’ve ruined cities from Seattle to San Diego! The Liberals that created Prop. 47(Gascon) & 57 and AB 109 have allowed criminals free reign of terror!

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
