Teenager Detained In Connection With Valencia Robbery

A 14-year-old was detained Monday by deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station after allegedly robbing another teenager with a box cutter earlier in December.

At around 3 p.m. on Dec. 13, a teenage male was reportedly walking home from school near the intersection of Dickason Drive and Decoro Drive in Valencia when he was approached by two other teenagers, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“One of the males brandished a box cutter knife and demanded the victim give him his hat,” Miller said.

The victim was “fearful and complied,” giving the pair of teenagers that had approached him his hat. The two suspects then ran away, according to Miller.

“COBRA detectives have been investigating the incident and worked to identify all parties,” Miller said.

Then on Monday, Dec. 30, a search warrant was executed in connection with the robbery, and detectives were able to recover necessary evidence, according to officials.

“One subject, a 14-year-old male, was detained on felony robbery charges,” Miller said.

As of 3 p.m. Monday, the juvenile was being taken to the Sylmar Juvenile Hall, according to officials.

  1. Karma will get him back, it will happen when you least expect it. I hope the young man is ok, and that the teenager gets time for robbing him.

  2. Hopefully he learns, but if raised in a low class, scumbag environment with that lifestyles, his future may be domed!?!!
