Teenagers Arrested For Reportedly Stealing Items At Six Flags Magic Mountain

Deputies took multiple teenagers into custody at Six Flags Magic Mountain after they allegedly stole items from at least six park guests on Saturday.

Around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were notified by security personnel at Six Flags Magic Mountain that several individuals had been detained, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the station.

“The suspects allegedly were taking items off the platform by one of the rollercoasters where riders had set items out in the open, instead of utilizing a locker, before they got on the ride,” Miller said.

Deputies and park security officials were able to recover personal property from at least half a dozen guests, including cell phones, backpacks, sunglasses, credit cards and keys, according to officials.

In addition, one of the teenagers was also reportedly in possession of cocaine, according to Miller.

Devon Raleigh, 18, of West Covina, was arrested on grand theft charges. Aileene Espinoza, 18, also of West Covina, was arrested on grand theft charges and possession of a controlled substance, Miller said.

In addition, a 17-year-old male from Palmdale was also detained on grand theft charges, according to officials.

Both Raleigh and Espinoza were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, where their bail was set for a combined total of $41,000.

  1. So sad we can’t have these people transported to Saudi Arabia and have a hand severed. I think theft is a crime punished with hand remove, but I think you can keep one hand not sure though.

    • Maybe someone should sever your hand. We’re talking about some teenagers here not hard core criminals and for you to even throw that ignorant comment out only shows you never did stupid things as a teen or clearly don’t have kids. There’s actually more serious crimes worth people’s attention going on right now with our own president that’s more shameful.

    • I agree with you!!!!! Lame ass female trying to be someone in life but has started out the wrong way. Her whole life has been nothing but disappointments. Pick me girl for sure!!!!

  2. Six Flags has historically attracted individuals who lack a sense of community, civility, and decorum. I was hoping they’d relocate to the areas of LA County closer to them. In the waiting lines for popular rides, these delinquents would simply leave the wrapper/bags on the floor; not opting to hold and drop into a nearby receptacle. I wanted to give them back their property, but it probably would’ve backfired.
