Just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station initially responded to the 28000 block of Oak Spring Canyon Road in Canyon Country after receiving reports that a large party was going to take place at the site.
“The deputies first responded there because they received calls that there was going to be a large party there,” said Robert Hahnlein of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “When they got there, they discovered the building was vacant.”
Hahnlein confirmed that deputies found evidence of a marijuana concentrate lab, and Narcotics Bureau officials were called to investigate.
“Three people have been detained for further investigation,” Hahnlein said.
Marijuana concentrate consists of cannabinoids (THC, CBD, THCV, etc.) terpenes, and flavonoids extracted from cannabis, and can be up to 70 percent more potent than regular cannabis, according to officials.
“It’s typically vaporized at a relatively low temperature and inhaled,” said Sagen Fowler, a certified cannabis dispensary manager and graduate of Oaksterdam University. “(It’s) made because it’s more discreet and more potent in a smaller package. The vaporization makes it so nothing is ignited, which makes small amounts of carcinogens.”
Narcotics Bureau investigators and Los Angeles County Fire Department officials were still on scene as of 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.

I’m glad the cops got wind of this party. My child asked if he could attend and I said No. Glad I did
I thought weed could be ingested without law enforcement intruding on the fools ingesting. This is California, after all, and not The American country of the law-abiding citizens in the United States of America.
This has entrapment all over the place.
1. If I heard that someone was having a party, and I called the police, my guess is, they would say, “People have parties. If it’s keeping you up, let us know the day of the party.”
2. If, on the day of the party, the police knock on the door, and no one answers, they can’t just go in and see if there is illegal activity going on. It doesn’t matter if it’s marijuana oils, or, for example, a ton of crystal meth.
Without probable cause (an empty building is not probable cause), and a warrant signed by a judge, nothing is admissable.
