Three Juveniles Arrested After Castaic Middle School Vandalism

Three juveniles were arrested after reportedly breaking into Castaic Middle School and vandalizing the inside.

On April 22, Castaic Middle School officials found that a break-in had occurred the night previous, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Three male juvies arrested thanks to tips and investigation by COBRA detectives,” Miller said. “They were teens, the oldest was 15. All local.”

A classroom had been broken into through a window. Items were thrown about and broken, MIller said.

“They did a lot of damage,” Miller added.

The three suspects were detained on charges of felony vandalism and burglary. They were cited and released to parents with a future court date, according to Miller.

  1. Interesting we are in house shelter, and 3 juveniles vandalize Castaic Middle School. How is it they were not home? Parents need to be accountable, and it is often pushed off on teachers as to why a student acts out. These kids need community service working physically not with friends! They also need to do be working at the school physically with the parent observing their work. It makes it loud and clear the parents or community won’t put up with this behavior.

    • Parents? Don’t you know that “Parents of Today” would rather be a friend than an parent? It’s true. How true is this? EXAMPLE…. A REAL parent would had made SURE that their child would NOT be outside at a time like this. A REAL parent should had taught their child NOT to commit crimes of destruction but show them love in return. Be a FRIEND, Parents!!!! Keep up the good work & see where the payoff gets you. Now, when you visit YOUR child, not adult… in jail. DON’T forget to be proud of them because YOUR child is a product of YOU!!!!

  2. Parents need to be financially accountable.
