Three Men Arrested After Being Found With Eight Catalytic Converters

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested three men early Tuesday morning after they were found with eight “freshly cut, stolen catalytic converters.”

Early Tuesday morning, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Crime Impact Team conducted a crime suppression operation in an effort to combat a reported rise in catalytic converter thefts.

“One traffic stop resulted in the arrest of three males who possessed numerous tools used for stealing catalytic converters, and eight freshly cut, stolen catalytic converters,” wrote Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the station, in an official post Tuesday.

After the three men were taken into custody, detectives were able to identify the owners for five of the eight converters, with three Toyota Prius catalytic converters still remaining unclaimed.

Officials encouraged anyone who owns a Prius and recently had their catalytic converter stolen to contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121.

  1. The Democrats finest right here.

    • Other than being just another annoying jerk, was there any reason for your claim? Any basis in fact?

    • Wondering why its okay to gender identify the perps but not classify them in other ways? Are we okay with the dtereotype that all theives are men, or just not cool to say three Latin ‘X'” dudes?

    • Rufus, what is your problem? Do you have to blame Democrats for everything? We get it…you’re a Trump supporter. Not every crime is committed by a voter. Some are punk kids not even OLD enough to vote. You ARE an annoying jerk.

      • Trish the enabling excuser: Rufus & Alfred E. Told the truth/facts of the odds & statistics of who it will probably be!! Stop condoning crime & violence. What will you say when they continue to graduate and rape, beat up your husband(?), you & your children!? Will you still suppress the truth/facts?! Wake up, not woke up to reality, stop being Naive!!

  2. Great job SCV Sheriffs!

  3. Really ?? Thats funny the state with the highest theft rate is RED…
