Two Out-Of-Area Murder Suspects Booked At Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station

Two separate murder suspects were transported to the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station for holding on Thursday, and are currently each being held on multimillion-dollar bail.

The two suspects were not arrested within the SCV, and instead, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station was selected for booking as it is the closest to where the arrests occurred, according to SCV Sheriff’s Station Captain Justin Diez.

Jerry Pham, 42, a resident of St. Louis, Missouri, was arrested for murder around 6 in the morning on Thursday by the LASD Major Crimes Division, which often handles out-of-state warrants.

Pham is currently being held on $7,475,000 bail.

Shant Der Boghossian, 51, of Granada Hills, was also arrested for murder on Thursday, at about 2:15 p.m. by the Operation Safe Streets Bureau or “OSS,” which is responsible for providing suppression, intelligence and expert investigation against criminal street gangs, according to the LASD website.

Der Boghossian is currently being held on $2,145,000 bail.

No further information on the arrests or the investigations that prompted them is available at this time.

Both Der Boghossian and Pham are due in court on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
