Two Palmdale Residents Arrested For Valencia Burglary

Two Palmdale residents were arrested in South Los Angeles on Tuesday in connection with a Valencia burglary that took place in November, officials said.

On Tuesday, 28-year-old Reginald Bowens and 30-year-old Denneisha Johnson were arrested by officials with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Bureau’s Burglary Robbery Task Force (BRTF) in South Los Angeles, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Bowens and Johnson were wanted in connection with a Valencia robbery that allegedly took place in the Bridgeport area on Nov. 19.

“Collaborating with SCV Sheriff’s patrol deputies and detectives, the BRTF was able through their investigation to determine that the suspects lived in Palmdale,” Miller said in an official statement.

On Tuesday, Sheriff’s officials went to the suspected residence in Palmdale, only to find that the suspects were not home, according to Miller.

“Following leads, they ultimately arrested the pair in South L.A.,” Miller said.

The pair were taken into custody and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for booking. Johnson’s bail was set at $50,000, while Bowens’ bail was not set as of Wednesday evening, according to arrest logs.

Bowens was under Post Release Community Supervision as he has an “extensive criminal record.”  Because of the arrest, Bowens would be considered under violation of this supervision, and therefore put on hold with no bail, according to officials.
