Two Suspects Detained After Alleged Valencia Grand Theft At Macy’s

Two suspects were detained Monday afternoon in connection with an alleged Valencia grand theft at Macy’s, officials said.

The incident was reported just after 3 p.m. Monday at the Westfield Valencia Town Center on the 24200 block of Valencia Boulevard, according to Lt. Doug Morhoff of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Two suspects are detained and the investigation is ongoing,” Morhoff said.

It is unknown the value of the items taken from the Valencia department store as of Monday afternoon, but initial reports indicated it was above the $950 value needed to be considered a grand theft.

Dozens of items of clothing with tags still attached were recovered from the suspects’ vehicle at a traffic stop just one block from the Valencia Mall on Magic Mountain Parkway near McBean Parkway, according to officials on scene.

Possible charges for the suspects are unknown as of Monday afternoon due to the ongoing investigation, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Two Suspects Detained After Alleged Valencia Grand Theft At Macy’s

  1. That precious, insane $950 limit! They should have taken that all important cell phone glued to their face, used the calculator (if they know what that is) and put a couple of items back, then they would have been let go on the spot with a $20 citation and coupons for the store! They didn’t learn from BLM the proper burglary etiquette. Ohhh, our great future——

  2. Where the hell does it say the suspects were BLM protesters? Oh right it doesn’t. But you racists have to keep bringing it up because it somehow offends your fragile feelings.

    • These two bigot punks make up whatever they think will inflame and incite racial tensions.
Most of us see right through their hate mongering and don’t think as they do anyway.

      • Nobody wants to inflame more chronic one sided racial tensions! We just want peace & the truth/facts of who’s causing the constant problems in societies, no cover-up of reality! How can a problem be fixed, if we don’t know the truth/facts?!

  3. Why not ask them? Are you afraid of what they will tell you?

    • I thought I would ask Denny, they were Jaron Ellis, 24, and Garrett Hughes, 20, both from Bakersfield, and they were arrested on felony grand theft charges and misdemeanor narcotics charges for possession of a controlled substance, huh,
