A Valencia man was arrested Sunday evening after he allegedly threatened another person with a tire iron at a car meet.
On Sunday, deputies responded to the 19300 block of Plum Canyon Road in Saugus regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call, said Deputy Liza Melgar, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The victim and the suspect had multiple verbal arguments at different car meets they attend to every week,” Melgar said.
At some point, the suspect sent a threatening text message to the victim stating at the next car meet “he was going to smash his face in,” according to Sheriff’s officials.
Both the suspect and victim arrived at the car meet and they exchanged words, according to officials.
“The suspect grabbed a tire iron from the rear of his trunk, took a few steps forward towards the victim and stated ‘I’ll beat you with this,’” Melgar said. “The victim believed the suspect was going to harm him and was in fear for his life.”
The victim’s friends stopped the suspect from assaulting him.
Emilio Solis Lopez, 27, from Valencia, was arrested for felony criminal threats, Melgar said.
He was booked into the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station and later released on bond to appear in court at a later date, according to Melgar.

Be careful y’all this unstable child is on the loose now and works at the Taco Bell off of Bouquet and Valencia. He may or may not try to attack you with a tire iron while you go through the drivethru. Unless you go through listening to crappy dubstep.
This man goes by Milo Lopez. I worked with him previously at a popular burger chain in Valencia and he is a ticking time bomb. He is very aggressive and explosive towards his coworkers. He frightens and threatens others around him, this news article does not surprise me. He has a twin brother named Ricky Lopez who is just as aggressive.
