A vandalism suspect was arrested last Friday in Santa Clarita after he allegedly stomped on a vehicle’s windshield until it shattered, officials said.
Last Friday, deputies responded to the 23700 block of Valencia Boulevard in Santa Clarita regarding a vandalism call for service, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“A male adult was arrested after reportedly purposefully stomping on the victim’s windshield causing it to shatter,” Arriaga said.
Upon arrival, deputies on scene detained a man matching the suspect description before being positively identified by the vehicle owner, according to Arriaga.
“The suspect was arrested for felony vandalism due to the extent of damages,” Arriaga said.
Christian Hernandez, 37, from Palmdale was transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station where he was booked on felony vandalism in lieu of $20,000 bail, before being released on Sunday, according to arrest records.

This sure doesn’t sound good, but we have no information about the incident itself. A wise person once said “no one ever notices when you’re being provoked, only when you retaliate.”
Maybe this was yet another drug-addicted “transient” going nuts on some poor person. Or maybe it was just someone pushed beyond their breaking point. I wish we had a justice system that could be trusted to sort this out.
Sounds like an indigent window washer, unhappy about not so mucho dinero.
Poorly written article.
