A Canyon Country man was arrested on a slew of charges Thursday including a $50,000 DUI warrant, officials said.
On Thursday around 5 p.m., deputies made contact with an individual near Soledad Canyon Road and Homyr Place in Canyon Country, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
When deputies made contact with the individual they discovered he had a $50,000 DUI warrant, according to Miller.
Deputies also located methamphetamine and a knife on the suspect, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Taylor Vega, 30, from Canyon Country was arrested on the warrant and felony charges of carrying a concealed dirk and a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance, Miller said.
Vega was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $50,000, according to arrest records.
