A Lake Hughes man with an active warrant out for his arrest was arrested Friday after he was found by law enforcement, with additional charges for a fake I.D. card and fentanyl in his pockets.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday, a Gorman deputy patrolling the area near Highway 138 and 230th Street in Neenach noticed a man who he knew to have an active outstanding warrant, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The man was immediately detained.
“A search of the suspect resulted in the recovery of a piece of plastic containing fentanyl on his person. A search of the suspect’s wallet resulted in the recovery of a fraudulent identification card,” Arriaga said.
Paul Smith, 60, of Lake Hughes, was booked for possession of a fraudulent identification card and possession of a controlled substance, along with his warrant. He remains in custody as of Monday afternoon.

Lake Los Angeles community is in the east Antelope Valley south of Edward’s AFB, 20-30 miles EAST. Whether or not there is, or ever was a Lake there in the desert, may involve open-air cess pools. Bring your water wings, ear plugs, nose plugs, and any other plugs you like.
When I drive by that area I do not notice stables, nor horses.
It is not anything like Awesome-town.
