Santa Clarita weekend arrest logs saw a steep drop off in total number of bookings, with only five recorded by law enforcement from Friday to Sunday.
Only five arrests were reported in booking logs by deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall Area Office this weekend, a major decrease from last weekend’s 14 total arrests.

Out of total arrests this weekend, only two were reported as felonies and the rest were listed as misdemeanors, according to booking logs.
All three of the reported misdemeanors were listed as driving-under-the-influence (DUI) with priors, according to arrest logs.
One of the two listed felonies was possession of a controlled substance and the other was obstructing or resisting an executive officer.
Three out of five of the bookings this weekend were of individuals from outside of the Santa Clarita Valley, including both of the two felonies, according to arrest logs.
