An assault suspect was arrested Monday after she attempted to hit a person with her car during an argument Sunday morning, officials said.
On Sunday around 9:45 a.m., deputies responded to the 18300 block of Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country regarding a business dispute, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“A female adult was reportedly trying to run employees over after she was asked to leave,” Miller said.
After viewing cell phone footage, deputies saw the suspect verbally threatening the victim and then attempting to hit the victim with her vehicle, according to Miller.
“The following day, on May 18, a deputy patrolling in Canyon Country spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s at a gas station,” Miller said.
After confirming that it was the suspect in the vehicle, the deputy made contact with the individual and made an arrest, Miller said.
Victoria Lobo, 57, from Temple, was arrested on felony assault with a deadly weapon charges, according to Miller.
Lobo was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail with bail set at $20,000, according to arrest records.
