The paramedics arrived minutes too late. Another Santa Clarita child had died from a Fentanyl overdose. More than a half-dozen known overdoses have occurred in our valley this year alone. And those are the official ones reported.
The Fentanyl crisis is sweeping our nation. Fentanyl is mostly manufactured in China and smuggled across our overflowing Mexican border. Fentanyl is much more addictive than heroin and much more deadly.
Recently a Santa Clarita father shared his story with us. He heard a loud thump in his teenage son’s bedroom. When he rushed to his son’s side, he found his son passed out on the floor. It was a Fentanyl overdose. While waiting precious minutes for the paramedics to arrive, he debated whether to give his son CPR, fearing that the Fentanyl residue may transfer to his lips. He risked administering CPR and saved his son’s life.
These are our kids. We are no longer in an era when taking a pill or smoking some pot off the street is safe. Unless it came from a pharmacy, there’s a good chance it’s laced with Fentanyl.
KHTS has been producing a weekly radio show with Action, a Santa Clarita drug rehab center, for decades. Our show often has addicts sharing their story of addiction. This week, we had a Fentanyl addict share her powerful story that put tears in my eyes and gave me a much better understanding of why this current Fentanyl crisis is so more destructive and deadly than previous drug challenges.

Where was the discussion of supply and demand when Biden drastically cut oil production in the US and gas prices tripled? Why was the liberal narrative “greedy oil companies” then?

little control over the price of gasoline. Gasoline prices are dictated by crude oil prices and crude oil prices are

FACT: The price of crude oil is set by the 13 countries that make up OPEC and the IOCs (Independent Oil Companies)
FACT: Oil production under Biden has increased in every month except in February and September 2021.
FACT: The Biden administration approved 3,557 oil drilling permits in its first year, that is more than 900 permits under
Trump’s first year in office.
FACT: Oil companies have themselves stated investor pressure, not government restrictions is the biggest factor holding
up production expansion.
FACT: 15 of the largest oil and gas companies earned $77 BILLION in second-quarter profits, nearly triple the level of
last year; meaning for the first half of 2022, their profits totaled $94 BILLION.

affordable housing, poverty, unemployment, mental illness, drugs, etc. Additionally, the homeless are far more
likely to be a victim of crime than to perpetuate one.
Why would an oil company spend money on building platforms and drilling equipment with no guarantee of success in areas Biden administration has permitted when on his campaign he said he was going to put them out of business?
