The Castaic Union School District (CUSD) announced Tuesday the name of the new assistant principal set to take the helm at Castaic Middle School. 

Stephanie Sosa is ready to join Castaic Middle School as the new assistant principal, beginning Friday, July 1, according to CUSD officials. 

“Former Assistant Principal, Nicole Price, joined her new husband in North Dakota, where she will be the principal of a K-12 public school,” CUSD officials said.

Sosa comes to the CUSD from the William S. Hart Union High School District where she spent 13 years as an eighth-grade English Teacher, according to officials. 

She had many leadership experiences as an Instructional Coach, English Department Chair and Administrative Intern for Castaic High School this past spring.

The new assistant principal was an administrative intern overseeing three recent summer school sessions, as well as being an Administrative Intern for the Career Pathways and Career and College Readiness (CCR) program, according to officials.

Sosa began her educational experience working for Saugus Union School District as a teacher for the first, fifth and sixth grades, according to officials. 

“Stephanie bridged the gap from elementary school to secondary teaching working for and experiencing instructional leadership positions for virtual K-12 programs,” CUSD officials said.
