On Wednesday, the Hart District Governing Board awarded 16 District school teachers the 2022-23 title of “Teacher of the Year”  due to their efforts in educating Santa Clarita Valley students.

“The Hart District was recently recognized by the State of California for outstanding work employing Pivotal Practices during the pandemic to meet our students’ needs,” said Hart District Superintendent Mike Kuhlman. “This high honor is an affirmation of the amazing work our teachers do daily to prepare every student to be opportunity ready.”

Paula Bae, a Hart High School science teacher, was also proclaimed overall District Teacher of the Year, in addition to being honored as a representative for her school.
