After the COVID-19 pandemic, our Santa Clarita community faced a completely different situation than ever before.

The most dramatic change came in the form of educational changes.

Our Santa Clarita Valley community faced many challenges, but none as dramatic as those in education thanks to the pandemic. These changes left many parents scrambling for different options.

“What makes iLEAD Online truly unique and innovative in the world of online education is the ongoing real-time collaboration between you, your facilitator, and your classmates,” the iLEAD website reads. “Since iLEAD Online supports existing iLEAD programs and sites, you will be meeting regularly with guides and other learners as part of their learning experience.”

Santa Clarita charter school organization iLEAD Online is one of these alternative options. The school is a tuition-free, fully accredited charter school educating grades kindergarten-12th, offering a unique and more customizable education for young learners.

iLEAD spearheads several programs, an in-classroom school (SCVi), home study (SCVi Exploration), independent study (iLEAD Online), preschool, and after-school care.

iLEAD Online’s Ben Williams and Katherine Witzmann were featured on Eye on the Valley to discuss the program.

“iLEAD Online uses original, facilitator-created courses which elegantly assist you in successfully managing your learning plan, calendar, lessons and projects,” the iLEAD Online website. “We emphasize learner choice and project based learning.”

Students in this program are actively involved in formatting their own learning plan in partnership with their facilitators.
