SCVi, a tuition-free public TK-12 charter school located in Santa Clarita, held an open house Thursday for families interested in learning more about what the program offered.

At 6 p.m. on Aug. 4, SCVi hosted its Summer Open House for TK-12 learners, families and other community members at SCVi.

“I would say the thing that makes us most different is that we try to teach in the natural way that people like to learn, we try to leverage curiosity, we make sure that we give people a chance to talk,” said Director Chad Powell.

Students in upper grades work with an academic and college counselor to create a plan to help them be successful academically, emotionally and socially.

“This is a school that if you really value learning through projects, if you really value social, emotional learning, if you like a smaller atmosphere, then this would definitely be the place that you should look into,” Powell said.
