Saugus High School Cheer To Host Youth Clinic Fundraiser

The Saugus High School Cheer program is set to host a youth clinic to teach interested kids the basic jumps and chants needed to build team spirit, with a chance to participate with the cheer squad at a future football game.

Open to kids in kindergarten through eighth grade, each participant is set to receive a Saugus Cheer Clinic T-shirt, snacks, and a photo with a Saugus cheerleader.

Participants of the clinic are also set to be invited to show off their new skills, cheering with the Saugus Cheerleaders during the first quarter at the Saugus High School football game at College of the Canyons on Friday, Oct. 4.

The clinic is scheduled to take place on Sept. 22 from 1:15 p.m to 4:30 p.m. in the Saugus High School gym.

Pre-registration is available for $40 per child through Sept. 9, with a postmark deadline of Sept. 7. Late or walk-in registration is set to be offered for $45 on a space-available basis.

Only pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt, according to event organizers.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Saugus cheer programs.

Registration forms are available at the Saugus cheer page here.
