The co-founder of Academy Swim Club is Nikki Miller. It started out as “Santa Clarita Swim Club opened as a year-round Aquatic Facility in September 1998, after thirteen years of operation here in the SCV as the seasonal Tadpole Swimschool.” Nikki and her husband Jim decided to dedicate their lives to teaching water safety education after having a tragic experience with their kids and the pool. Thankfully, no one drowned however from that point they want to help parents and others to prevent tragic events from occurring.
The “Academy Swim Club opened in 2004 as a more centrally located, state of the art, private facility to fulfill the needs of the community and become the Best Swim School in the Santa Clarita Valley.” There’s some background info about Academy Swim Club.
Academy Swim Club mission is to inspire individuals and families to teach their youth how to swim. They create an environment that is fun, safe and friendly atmosphere for kids to learn how to swim for life as well as,“teaching exceptional developmentally appropriate swimming and fitness skills which build self-esteem, confidence, and character.”
Academy Swim Club’s main goal to accomplish is to make sure that every child can learn how to swim by the age of 3 years old. There are also two smaller goals that they want to accomplish as well and they are: “to strive to exceed all of our patron’s expectations and to give the highest quality swim lessons in Southern California.”
