Bikram Yoga, located in Santa Clarita, offers traditional 90-min hot yoga classes with each class consisting of 26 postures and breathing exercises. The yoga classes are intended for all ages and skill levels. The intention of each series is to strengthen muscles, ligaments and joints for the next posture. The purpose of the classes is to bring fresh blood to the entire body, stimulate the organs, nerves and glands. In turn, this returns systems to normal functionality. In addition to the 26 postures, the students can learn variations and new postures during 2nd sets and some vinyasa.
Bikram Choudhury developed and designed the hot yoga series to promoted health through balancing and strengthening of every bodily system to prevent injury, facilitate weight loss, prevent illness and reduce the signs of aging. The posture series combine concentration, patience, determination and self-control. As a result, this promotes a clear mentality and reduced stress levels.
Hot yoga heats and warms the muscles, allows a thorough workout and cleanses the body of toxins. Bikram Yoga uses this practice to promote overall wellness.

Bikram Choudhury started learning Hatha Yoga in India at three years old. Due to his interest, he began studying with Bishnu Ghosh (Paramahansa Yogananda’s brother) and rapidly became a yoga champion. At 11 years old, Bikram Choudhury became the youngest competitor to win the National India Yoga competition.
After a weightlifting accident crippled Bikram, under the guidance of his guru, he was able to create his 26-posture series that restored him to full health.
Bikram helped doctors prove that yoga regenerates tissues and cures chronic ailments through a United Nations sponsored research study at Tokyo University. Bikram sought to perfect his comprehensive system that would be achievable for beginners, advanced, kids or adults, by
combining Eastern and Western medicine. After coming to the U.S. at the invitation of President Nixon and Shirley MacLaine, Bikram has healed thousands of students.
Bikram Yoga Santa Clarita serves clients in the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas, including Newhall, Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Saugus, Canyon Country, Castaic, Agua Dulce, Sylmar, Granada Hills, Mission Hills and the Antelope Valley.
