25 Score, LIMS Movie Studios Team Up For ‘Spook-tacular’ Family Halloween Event

A local vocational film school and a longtime discount membership card company are teaming up to provide family friendly Santa Clarita Valley Halloween event in Castaic.

25 Score and LIMS Movie Studios officials are hosting “Casket Lake Family Halloween Event” to the Santa Clarita Valley on Sunday, Oct. 23.

The Halloween fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m at the LIMS Movie Studio in Castaic. Costumes are encouraged, so witches, zombies, ghosts and fairies alike are all invited to attend this spook-tacular day that will be held at the LIMS Movie Studio in Castaic, organizers said.

The event’s organizers listed a litany of offerings for families with younger children.

“It’s an opportunity for families to bring their little superheroes, Star Wars wannabes, and dolled-up princesses to an indoor/outdoor family adventure,” said Marlene Bernstein, who co-owns 25 Score with her husband, Ed Bernstein. “This year’s festivities include a Kids Zone with jumpers and games, a petting zoo, hayride, costume parade, trick-or-treating, face painting, slot car racing, California Youth Chess League games, BOO-th vendors, food, raffle and a DJ, just to name a few.”

The “Scarecrow Alley” was a recent addition to the list of activities for the community. Individuals, businesses and organizations can sign up to decorate a scarecrow to be displayed at the entrance of Casket Lake.

Scarecrow winners will be awarded at the event, and this year, the Spotlight Arts Center will be the nonprofit organization benefitting from Scarecrow Alley entries.

The event’s organizers credited local businesses throughout the Santa Clarita Valley, including the Castaic area, that have come together to be a part of the event, donating their goods and services, and others becoming sponsors.

“The Sponsorship Package really resonated with me,” said Scott Edwards of Hancock Mortgage. “Local nonprofits will be receiving donated event tickets from Hancock Mortgage. It makes me feel good that the tickets will be distributed among the families that the nonprofit supports. It’s a great way to give back to our community.”

Tickets to the event and Scarecrow Alley entry forms can be found on the official website, www.CasketLakeHaunt.com. Tickets can also be purchased from various nonprofit organizations, schools and clubs in Santa Clarita.

The LIMS Movie Studio is located at 27537 Fantastic Lane, in Castaic.

Admission prices are $8 for children/seniors and $12 for adults. A Family Package for $30.00 that includes 2 Adult and 2 Child tickets is also available until Oct. 20.
